OsteoStrong is dedicated to enhancing your overall health by focusing on a fundamental aspect we all share: our skeletal system. At OsteoStrong River Oaks, we work closely with you to achieve improvements in bone density, muscle strength, balance, and overall well-being, helping you feel and see the difference.
OsteoStrong is a membership-based integrative health and wellness center with a focus on musculoskeletal strengthening.
The four device circuit takes only minutes once per week to complete. Under the direction of a skilled technician, users engage in a safe controlled movement on each device that results in a stimulus to the central nervous system triggering osteogenesis or new bone growth.
Each device provides instant biofeedback with a member’s impact emulation force exertion measured in pounds and multiples of body weight.
Data is recorded and a report is sent to the member detailing their progress at the conclusion of each session.

CENTER INFORMATION
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is this covered by insurance?
Traditional health insurance in the United States does not typically cover holistic treatment methods, like OsteoStrong sessions. However, HSA/FSA can be used in many cases and some Medicare Advantage Plans offer reimbursement options for our services. Also, OsteoStrong sessions are generally less expensive than most insurance co-pays.
How does pricing work?
We offer month-to-month memberships, as well as long term memberships. Punchcard options are also available.
What if I miss a week?
We know life happens, and we’re happy to reschedule appointments when the schedule allows. You’ll continue the bone building process, and most clients don’t lose much strength from missing a week.
What if I travel?
If you’re going to be traveling for more than 3 weeks, we can put your account on hold. This is also true if you have a health issue, are overwhelmed with work or family or other unforeseen issues come up. Always ask us, we’re here to help you get stronger and want you to get the best experience from OsteoStrong.
What can I wear?
Clients can go through a session in any attire. A skirt or dress isn’t recommended, and most clients go through without shoes for a more natural experience. If you have sensitive feet, or orthotics your doctor prescribed, shoes with a low heel and less cushion are best.
Does this replace exercise?
No. Remember, OsteoStrong strengthens your skeletal system. Your muscular strength will be optimized once your mind senses your skeletal system is capable of handling stronger muscles.
Can I just increase my skeletal strength and bone density with weight training and other exercises?
You can improve bone density with resistance training to a degree, but science determined it takes 4.2 multiples of body weight to trigger the hip bone to regenerate. This force is difficult to safely achieve in the gym. Box jumps would likely reach 4.2 MOB of force in the hip. Our equipment allows you to be in control of the force you exert through your skeletal system and work up to 4.2 MOB without having to jump off a box or table.
Can I do this if I have replaced joints?
Yes, OsteoStrong can help strengthen the bone around your replaced joint. Strengthening is also great before these types of surgeries, since OsteoStrong also thickens tendons and ligaments to make joints more stable. As with all medical conditions, we encourage people to consult with their physician prior to starting sessions at OsteoStrong, or after a medical issue.
How long does it take for Osteostrong to work?
Most people notice strength and balance improvements rather quickly. Reduction in joint and back pain occur between month 2 and month 4. Bone building is a slow process and it can take approximately a year to see changes on a DXA scan. The first 6 months in the program we are focused on stabilizing the rate of bone loss and we expect to see increases in bone density every 6 months after that. OsteoStrong provides the trigger for your body to utilize its building blocks such as calcium, vitamin D3 and K2 and not everyone will experience the same result which is why we require a phone consultation prior to starting the program to discuss health history and special circumstances.
